For the longest time now I have been living near or inside Naarden Vesting, one of the best preserved fortified cities in Europe, featuring a double system of moats and walls, built in the 17th century. I even made a book about the Vesting in 2011.
Next august I will be moving from inside the Vesting to a new home outside of the fortifications. To mark this occasion I shot a short but distinctive landscape series honouring the beautiful and nowadays peaceful Vesting.
[Edit 2026:] This was a unique series printed on Hahnemühle fineart paper by me, signed and matted (see photo). But none was sold and I had to destroy the series when we moved to France. The photos are now available as unlimited series, printed on demand (still on Hahnemühle paper). Size: 20 x 26 cm. Contact me if you want one.
