It felt great to work on representing the forest in two dimensions once again, the weather was excellent: low winter sun and not very cold.<br \/>\nIn Foam I admired work by Joel Sternfeld. His most recent work consists of a couple of nature-photographs with an accompanying story about how nature will never be as it is now because of the changing climate and other general&nbsp;destructive&nbsp;effects of humans, with which he seemed to legitimize his photographs as art.<br \/>\nMy starting point for the Daniel DeForest series is documenting the gorgeous (managed) nature we have at our doorstep, ultimately wanting to create beautiful landscape photographs without traveling the world to exotic locations, the very act which destroys these locations.
