Photographer Joeri van Veen

With my photo projects I want to show my (coloured and changing) interpretation of mankind and its world. This can be a simple study of form, colour and light, but also a more elaborate, constructed, image clarifying one or more relationships (on different levels). Meanwhile I'm still learning how to create an image that grabs attention, but also manages to hold it.
Photography I find to be unruly, like man. I can't put my finger on it (yet), what works and what doesn't, and how, and why. Along the way I try to create images that might inspire others, like I myself continuously am inspired by photographs, paintings, movies, books and music.
Photography keeps me going even when I'm not at it, just by thinking about it.
